Saturday 9th & 16th April 2005 - Delilah's 21st Birthday Party
Lemvis performed in the evening at the CSIRO Discovery Centre for Delilah's 21st Birthday, a tropical theme. I sang a mixture of songs from the movie 'Blue Hawaii' and Elvis' 'Aloha from Hawaii' Concert. I found it a most enjoyable gig and a very warm crowd. The Birthday Girl was well looked after and was very thankful. Thank you all for a fun night.

Saturday 5th May 2005 - Maureen's 50th Birthday Party
Lemvis performed a 1 hour Aloha Style Concert for Maureen's 50th out bush past Sutton. . It was a fabulous night and most enjoyable, inside a huge metal barn. It was a pleasant surprise for Maureen when the makeshift curtain was raised and as 'Also Sprach Zarathustra' intro came to a close Lemvis entered the building and did his thing. I was trying out my new sound system and the sound quality was superb. Two big Yamaha powered speakers. We didn't have to blast them too loud but the sound is very crisp, much better than through an amplifier and normal speakers and a pleasure to sing with. Lemvis got down on his knees and sang the birthday girl 'Love Me Tender' (see pics in photo gallery). The Show went down a treat and I am thankful for the great crowd. A few days later Maureen and her husband Kevin sent me a very sweet Thank You card and I am very grateful for that. Thank you very much uhuhuh ....
Saturday 14th May 2005 - Travers and Lisa's Wedding
I sang for two very dear friends of mine's Wedding. Travers and Lisa. It was one of my most enjoyable shows to date. I must admit I was nervous as I have ever been in the lead up to my act and probably wasn't much conversation at my table, the butterflies are always a lot worse when it's in front of close friends or family and both were there. Hi Mum and Dad. The audience went crazy and it went down great. I started my show with a few rockin' older hits from the 50s. Then I got into scarf mode sing a few love songs and finishing with a bang with 'Suspicious Minds', 'My Way' and then "Cant Help Falling In Love' to end. Songs requested from the Bride and Groom were 'One Night' and 'The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face' and of course I dedicated 'The Hawaiian Wedding Song' to the newlyweds. It was my pleasure to perform on your special day and I wish Trav and Lisa all the best in your Marriage. I hope you enjoyed the show as much as I did doing it. Thanks.
Friday 20th & Saturday 21st May 2005 - The Careers Expo, National Convention Centre.
Lemvis did 4 shows on the stage at the Careers Expo. As I waited backstage on the Friday morning the noise was loud. The Convention Centre was packed with schoolkids and when the MC introduced me the "Lemvis" chanted started. I was a bit worried about how such a young crowd would take Elvis music, but those thoughts were soon put to rest after my 2nd song 'Blue Suede Shoes' the kids were going nuts. The Kings music will never die and the show went down fantastic. I have realised that although the older crowds are a lot more knowledgeable and appreciative of Elvis' music, the Kings music can still cut it with any age group and the reaction I get from younger audiences is great (I signed about 20 autographs). The majority get right into it. The girls were getting excited and I had one young guy hug me around my legs while I am singing and he says "Elvis, I love you man", he had tears streaming out of his eyes. Very touching (or maybe he was just on some real good drugs). It was a very enjoyable show.
Anyway the other 3 shows went down well but nothing compared to that first morning. That was crazy. I also got introduced by Ryan (Toady) Maloney off 'Neighbours' (see photo gallery) and got to walk the Catwalk with 8 gorgeous models. Modelling is tough work I tell you, all those beautiful women. not having to get out of bed for any less than $10,000 and not to mention all that salad. Seriously now I had a great time and I hope whoever was watching enjoyed it.

After doing the Staff Xmas Party the previous week I was asked if I would do a free show for residents of the nursing home. I agreed and Myself and John Donnellan (aka Dean Martin) put on a 2 hour show for them. I was asked by the Matron to have the volume soft and tame it down with the songs. After about 3 songs they were asking for songs like "Hound Dog" and "Burnin' Love" and to turn it up. They really loved it and we got some really nice comments afterwards. Very touching.

Parkes was huge this year, around 5000 or so people. I got up on the stage in the Park and sang "Moody Blue". On the Saturday night I went to one of the pubs and sang some Elvis Karaoke. The guy running it was handing me cash and the whole pub was cheering me on. A lot of fun.

I sang in between races. It was a good night with some people yelling out "bring Elvis back on" while the horses went around which was nice. One old bag rudely accusing me of lip syncing but I soon put her in check by singing a "Happy Birthday " to a young man in the crowd Elvis style. I would usually take that as a compliment but it was the way she was yelling it out persistently really got on my nerves. Later on I went up to her and stopped singing halfway through a song and asked her, "do you still think I am miming sweetheart". Hehehe, that shut her up for good.
Saturday 21st January - Graham & Lynne's 40th Birthday
Two of the nicest people I have ever done a show for. People were up dancing most of the show and getting right into it. A great party setting with a gorgeous views Queanbeyan and Canberra. I was having a lot of fun and sang about 5 encore songs, and they were still wanted more. A most enjoyable show, a beautiful audience and a rockin' party.
Thursday 26th January - National Museum of Australia - 10am
Happy Australia Day everyone. I did a morning show In the amphitheatre at the Museum. I was the first act of the day, not many there when I started but they soon rolled in and it was packed when I finished. I got everyone standing and sang my Elvis style rendition of "Advance Australia Fair" with the big "My Way" high note type finish. It went down really well.
Thursday 26th January - Matt & Krystal's Wedding
A Beautiful Wedding, the Bride looked gorgeous and the Groom very smart. It was a great crowd that really got into the show, so did I. I love doing Weddings. I started off with a 20 min set doing the more slower love songs dressed in casual Elvis attire. Later on in the night I came out in the white jumpsuit and rocked it. This was a hot one. I wish Matt and Krystal all the best in their marriage and many happy years together.

I am looking forward to this Show. It has been a long time since I have done a show with Frank Sinatra, known better to me as Tony Haley, a great friend of mine and a fantastic entertainer. This show will be a beauty and is sure to have all the glitz and glamour of a true Las Vegas Concert. The 'King of Rock' meets the 'King of Swing'. Unfortunately Dean Martin has been booked for another show in Melbourne. Not to be missed and it's free.

Great fun with a 60's theme with the attendee's dressed as hippies, 60s rockers and who knows what. A great crowd who really got into it. I had the dance floor packed and made my Johnny Cash debut which went down a treat. I have a lot of respect for the job these people do and I was treated to very nice letter with a great review (see Letters and Reviews page)

Saturday 20th May - "One Night In Vegas" Show - Italo Australian Club - Canteen Fundraiser
The Stomp is an event where local dance clubs get together for a night of dancing, entertainment and a lot of fun to raise money for a charity. It was a fantastic night and was enjoyed by the 275 or more that attended. The entertainment on the night was provided by the Blamey St Conexion (a big brass band) along with Annie Sloan, Tony Haley, John Donnellan and myself (Sinatra, Dino and Elvis). Some great dancing took place on the night and I have been informed by the organisers that it was the most successful and enjoyable Stomp yet. Arrived at the Forbes Inn half expecting to do my show in a rough old pub. How wrong I was. I was upstairs in the most beautiful restaurant with a huge stage equipped with bright, flashing coloured lights, a big dance floor, fancy round dinner tables along with a very exquisite bar. I was a little overawed at first and very nervy for my first few songs. It didn't take long for me to get into a rhythm and the audience were great and very responding. They really enjoyed the show and couldn't get enough of Johnny Cash. I have been invited back later in the year. I would like to thank the audience and staff at the Forbes Inn for being so friendly and helpful. A long drive but well worth it.

Happy New Year and Happy Birthday Elvis (for Jan 8). I recently got back from the Parkes Elvis festival and had a fantastic weekend. I met many lovely new people, caught up with a lot of my good Elvis buddies and partied hard. Even if you are not the biggest Elvis fan I suggest you try to make it along to one. It sure is an eye opener with hundreds of Elvis' (Elvii) and Priscilla's roaming around and a really fun and festive carnival atmosphere. This year was huge with almost 8000 visitors.
